Retail Operations Suite
Outgrowing Your Inventory System?
Most retail teams don’t realize their operations are failing until it starts impacting revenue.
You might be seeing:
- Inventory that doesn’t match across locations
- Purchase orders that don’t reflect reality
- Stockouts in one store, overstock in another
- Teams double-checking data instead of trusting it
This isn’t an inventory problem.
It’s a system problem.
Retail Operations Suite Closes the Gap
- Inventory is consistent across locations
- Purchase orders follow structured, trackable workflows
- Receiving and adjustments align with reality
- Teams operate from a single, trusted system
Built for where you are today
Teams come to the Retail Operations Suite from three different starting points. We support all of them.
Moving to Shopify from legacy POS
Retailers on Heartland, Lightspeed, or older systems often can't switch to Shopify because they'd lose purchase orders, structured receiving, inventory transfers, and cycle counts. ROS closes that gap. Your store teams keep the enterprise workflows they rely on, natively integrated to Shopify.
Already on Shopify, scaling operations
As stores, SKUs, and ERP complexity grow, general-purpose tools start to break down. ROS fills in what's missing: ASN receiving, multi-location transfers, approval-gated adjustments, and structured cycle counts your ops team needs to run clean at scale.
Replacing Stocky
Shopify's native inventory tools cover single-location basics but miss what multi-location retailers need: ASN receiving, barcode printing, approval gates, replenishment, and ERP sync. ROS fills those gaps across six modules and migrates your Stocky data (POs, suppliers, counts) during implementation.
Stocky goes read-only Feb 2, 2026 - plan ahead.
"I wanted to use Shopify POS but without this enterprise ERP integration, it wasn't on the table. Retail Operations Suite made Shopify POS an option."
- Chris Hildreth, CIO, Work World
ROS vs. native Shopify admin (post-Stocky)
Shopify is bringing the basics in-platform. Here's where the gap sits for multi-location retailers.
| Capability | Native Shopify admin | Retail Operations Suite |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase orders | ✓Basic | ✓Full lifecycle with status tracking |
| Receiving | ✓Shipment-level | ✓ASN support, discrepancy flagging, quantity validation |
| Barcode and label printing | ✕Not available | ✓Built in, role-secured |
| Inventory adjustments | ✓Basic | ✓Approval workflows, reason codes, full audit trail |
| Cycle counts | ✕Not available | ✓Scheduled and ad hoc, centralized or store-initiated |
| Multi-location transfers | ✓Basic | ✓Initiate, ship, and receive with full audit trail |
| Replenishment workflow | ✕Not available | ✓Supported |
| Min/max thresholds | ✕Not available | ✓Supported |
| ERP sync (NetSuite and others) | ✕Not available | ✓Bidirectional |
| Stocky data migration | ✕Manual export only | ✓Included in implementation |
Questions merchants are asking
We help you migrate active purchase orders, supplier records, and cost data during implementation, so you don't lose history or restart workflows from scratch.
ROS covers everything Stocky did (purchase orders, receiving, stocktakes) and adds the enterprise workflows Stocky never had: ASN receiving, multi-location transfers, approval-gated adjustments, and bidirectional ERP sync.
Stocky leaves the Shopify App Store on February 2, 2026 and fully shuts down on August 31, 2026. After that you get a short read-only window. Most implementations should start before Q2 2026 to leave room for training and cutover.

Built for Your Workflows
The Retail Operations Suite is a framework, not a one-size-fits-all production. Red Van implements and configures each module to match your specific store operations. Your receiving process, your transfer rules, your count schedules. We work with your team to understand how your stores actually operate, then build the workflows to support it.
